The GK herd is built around foundation families purchased from several
Australian dispersal sales, along with females resulting from imported Canadian
embryos and Canadian dams we selected ourselves.

Cow families originated from Brylor, IBR, Oakleigh Park and Kansas.
We place great emphasis on udders, feet, temperament and the ability of the
female to raise a calf well and go back into calf under Queensland conditions.

At the end of 2006 we purchased the outstanding Canadian females, Red Howe
MS Ruba DDH 7H and Red Compass MS Dividend 815J, to add two more, well
known cow families, to our herd.

RED HOWE MS RUBA DDH 7H

RED HOWE MS RUBA DDH 7H was purchased outright in October 2006 out of
the Jackson Cattle Co. Dispersal in Saskatchewan, Canada. Ruba is an
awesome female from the Kuruba cow family and every natural calf she has had,
has ended up in a stud herd.

Ruba was flushed in 2007 at Bovatech in Canada. We have embryos out of Ruba by Mulberry,
Pasquale, New Trend and Sequoia in the country now. We have a limited amount of embryos
available for sale. Please enquire if you are interested.

Thankyou to Hugh Bennett and family of Boonah Qld who purchased the Ruba x Pasquale
embryo package in the 2008 National Sale for $900/embryo.

Ruba is a big female with a bombproof temperament and a very good production record.

RED COMPASS MS DIVIDEND 815J

We purchased a share in RED COMPASS MS DIVIDEND 815J out of the
Canadian Red Roundup Sale in October 2006. Dividend 815J is an excellent
producing cow, producing Herd Sires and Show Champions.

The progeny from her last flush by New Trend averaged $6,800 (Can).
 A daughter by Sequoia was Heifer Calf Champion at both Farmfair
and Agribition 2005 and sold for $8,500.

815J is a full sister to Bonita 66K. A half share in 66K sold for $31,000 ( Can)
in the Brylor 2006 Sale. 66K is the dam of the very successful sire
Red Brylor Masterplan 17M.

GK RED FOXY LADY Y3 is a lovely daughter of Red Basin Sensation.

Runner Up Interbreed Champion Female and
Grand Champion Angus Female at Beef 2006 in Rockhampton Qld.
Grand Champion Angus Female at the 2006 Toowoomba Royal Show.

Her first calf was top priced female at the 2006 Red Angus National Show and
Sale at Dubbo selling for $7,000 to Jutland Park in WA.

Foxy Lady Y3 is a cow that does a truly outstanding job raising her calves and
continually is out producing herself.

GK RED ARABELLA A30

GK RED ARABELLA  A30 was named Senior and Grand Champion Female and Best Red Angus Exhibit
at the 2008 Sydney Royal Show.

We believe she is one of the best females we have bred.

DINA R514 (pictured at 12 years of age) is an absolutely outstanding old cow, who breeds progeny that
are some of the very best in the industry.

• GK Red Zenith Z6: 2006 Sydney Royal Best Red Angus Exhibit and 2006 National Champion Bull.
  Sold for $16,000 to the Muir Family in Western Australia.

• GK Red Dina X3: 2007 Sydney Interbreed Champion female and 2007 National Champion female
  who also sold for $16,000 to Western Australia (to the Jellicoe family)

• GK Red Dina B9: Reserve Champion Red Angus Female, 2007 Brisbane Royal (at 12 months)

Embryos out of Dina by Masterplan 17M sold for $700 each at the 2008 RA National.  We still have a couple
of packages available of this joining at the same price.

IBR RED WHISPER N518

IBR RED WHISPER N518 (pictured at 14years of age). This direct daughter of the famed old Sam's
prospector bull, was purchased from Winn Drinan as a mature cow when Winn sold her herd.
She was a great old cow. Embryos out of Whisper by Sequoia sold to Erle Dakin, Yonda Grange Red Angus,
Victoria for $1000 each at the 2008 Red Angus National.
